We believe that providing comprehensive services and protecting children by
strengthening social assets, safety nets and existing government bodies will
enable sustainable change.

Rakshan builds capacities of Child Protection Committees at the village and block level through numerous trainings and sessions with the members.		School Management Committees (SMC) are a major stakeholder in ensuring quality education, safety of children at schools and preparing school development plans. Rakshan works with the SMC members and teachers to ensure child protection and development at the school and community level.
Gram Panchayats are supported to become active on issues such as health, nutrition, education and protection of children. This component aims to ensure that child protection becomes an agenda of Gram Panchayats.		Rakshan’s close engagement with the local police, ensures that there is seamless coordination between all the Government bodies and Police so that no child is trafficked.
